The Jersey car forum: common questions
What is the Jersey car forum?+
Most people mean one of the Facebook groups where islanders post cars, vans and bikes for sale. There are several with similar names. AutoFinder is a separate, free website that puts Jersey listings into one searchable list. We are not connected to any of the groups.
Is every car from the Facebook groups on AutoFinder?+
No. We automatically list stock from more than 25 Jersey dealers, so most dealer cars are here. A private seller who only posts on Facebook won’t be, unless they list with us too, which is free.
How do I know a car hasn’t already sold?+
Dealer stock is checked against each dealer’s own website twice a day, and cars that have gone are taken down. Private sellers mark their car sold when it goes. If in doubt, message the seller from the listing.
Does it cost anything to buy or sell?+
No. Browsing, messaging sellers and listing your own car are all free. There are no fees or commission on private sales.
Do I need a Facebook account to use AutoFinder?+
